Commissions

How a commission or session comes together — from first message to finished piece. And what pricing depends on.

Art commissions

Original pieces made to brief — for your home, your space, or as a gift. We agree on subject, medium and size before anything begins.

  • Concept conversation up front
  • Medium and size to suit the space
  • Milestone previews as it develops
  • Delivery of the finished work

Portrait sessions

Considered portraiture that looks like the person, not a pose. Studio or on location, at an unhurried pace.

  • Pre-session planning conversation
  • Studio or location shoot
  • Collaborative selection of frames
  • Natural, non-destructive editing

Creative projects

One-on-one collaboration for a specific idea — a series, a cover, a visual concept you need brought to life.

  • Scoping of the idea and references
  • Clear deliverables and timeline
  • Rounds of revision agreed in advance
  • Files prepared for their final use

The process

How it works

You reach out

Send a message through the form with a few lines about the project — subject, style, rough size and timing. You don't need it fully figured out.

We talk it through

I reply personally with questions, ideas and references, so we're aligned on what you actually want before any work or payment.

Quote & agreement

You get a specific quote, scope, timeline and the number of revisions in writing. Payment terms are arranged after we agree — there's no checkout on this site.

The work

I create the piece or run the session, sharing previews at agreed milestones so there are no surprises at the end.

Delivery

You receive the finished work in the agreed format. Usage rights — personal or commercial — are set out in the agreement up front.

Pricing

What it costs

Why there are no set prices. A small portrait session and a large commissioned piece are very different jobs. Rather than list a misleading "from" price, I'd rather hear what you have in mind and give you a specific quote. Reaching out costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

A quote mainly depends on:

  • type of work — session, commission or a longer project;
  • medium, size and complexity;
  • timeline, with rush work priced accordingly;
  • usage rights, if the work is for commercial use.
