Frequently asked questions
The things people ask most before getting in touch.
How much does a commission cost?
Every project is quoted individually, because size, medium and complexity vary so much. After a short conversation you'll get a specific quote with no hidden extras. Payment is arranged after we agree — there's no checkout on the site.
How do I start?
Send a message through the contact form with a few lines about what you have in mind. I'll reply personally with questions and next steps.
Where are you based, and do you work remotely?
I'm based in New York and work with clients across the US. Commissions can be handled remotely; portrait sessions happen in the studio or on location by arrangement.
Why is there no phone number?
I keep first contact to the form so I can give each inquiry proper thought and reply in writing. We can arrange a call once a project is underway.
How long does a project take?
It depends on the type and scale of the work. You'll get a realistic timeline in your quote, and it goes into the written agreement before we start.
Who owns the finished work?
Usage and ownership terms are agreed in writing before the project begins and depend on whether the work is for personal or commercial use.
What happens to the details I submit?
They go to my studio inbox and are used only to respond to your inquiry. I don't run a newsletter. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture, including your rights under the CCPA.
